The Legendary Herman Miller’s Office Chair From Ocean-bound Plastic
Herman Miller participates in consortium NextWave Plastics, which aims to decrease the volume of plastic litter entering the ocean. So far as part of this commitment, Herman Miller has started to produce Aeron work chairs incorporating mismanaged plastic waste found near waterways. And further, they plan to use 50% of recycled plastics in all materials by 2030.
SABIC Produces Recycled Automotive Grades
SABIC announced the production of automotive grades partially made from mechanically recycled plastics. The resins comprise up to 29% of recycled content and are part of the TRUCIRCLE™ portfolio of circular solutions and services from SABIC. These new materials can be used in interior and exterior automotive applications.
New Aptar Food + Beverage’s Design Of Valve In Kraft Heinz Packaging
Aptar Food + Beverage made the recyclable SimpliCycle valve, which got the Best CSR/Sustainability Initiative at the World Food Innovation Awards 2021. This valve is recycled within the PP/PE olefin stream. From now on such valves are used in Kraft Heinz Ketchup packaging. And Heinz Mustard, Heinz Mashups, and Heinz BBQ Sauce will do it by the end of the year.
