Emerald Packaging Is On A Way Towards Circular Economy
Emerald Packaging, the manufacturer of flexible packaging to the produce industry, has become a signatory to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s New Plastics Economy Global Commitment. The company is committing to making its packages reusable, recyclable, or compostable, with specific targets to reach by 2025. Also, they work on the adoption of PCR resin in food packaging.
EcoBlue Launches New Recycling Facility
EcoBlue started the production at their new facility in Thailand. The new plant is capable of recycling 31,000 tons of PET per annum and 10,000 tons of post-consumer polyolefin waste. Moreover, the new facility also produces high-quality food-grade rPET made from 100% PCR waste, as well as food-grade rPP and rHDPE.
Collaboration Of PolyCert Europe and MORE
MORE, a monitoring platform that tracks and records the use of recycled plastics in Europe and PolyCert Europe, a compliance scheme to ensure that the methods used by certification schemes throughout Europe to calculate recycled content are harmonized, have united their expertise to work together towards achieving Europe’s 2025 recycled plastics goal.
