Danish Companies’ Collaborative Packaging

Four Danish companies Nopa Nordic, Schela Plast, Aage Vestergaard Larsen, and Dansk Affald are cooperating to produce plastics packaging from household waste. Together, they represent the entire recycled plastics value chain, which enables the feasibility of this initiative. The initial impulse came from Nopa Nordic as a response to consumer demand for more sustainable packaging.

RecyClass Published New Guideline

RecyClass has published new guidelines on designing colored polystyrene (PS) containers for recycling. Any company looking for a way to verify the recyclability of the PS packaging can now consult the guidelines or also use the free online tool which incorporates these Guidelines. RecyClass aims to accelerate the high-quality recycling of PCR styrenics packaging in Europe.

Dow Sites Receive ISCC PLUS Certification

Five of Dow’s largest manufacturing facilities in North America (USA) and Europe (Germany, Spain, Netherlands) have been recognized for their use of sustainable feedstocks and got ISCC PLUS Certification. The certification points out Dow’s implementation of environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable production requirements.
